Portraits for Marie J.
One of my colleagues from Solent University recently approached me with the task to produce some imagery that she can use when she represents the University at public events. She wanted to get photographs that will showcase her personality without being too corporate and dry.
This made me think about how I can incorporate my own style, Marie’s wish and the standard look into a single photo session. So, I started looking back at my previous work and realised that Fashion photography offers a lot of diagrams and way of lighting such portrait photos. I used two strobes with a softbox on each to keep the light as soft and natural as possible. Overall, we did two sessions - one on location and one in the studio. Here are the two looks we did:
The best part was also the client herself. Marie was fantastic to work with and she had so much fun being in front of the camera. Effortless. She came prepared and organised with tons of motivation to try and experiment with her image.
The images you see at the end of this blog entry have only light colour correction and a few skin clean-ups to remove any blemishes (which were barely visible to start with). Whatever Marie does for her skin - it works for her.
I currently have a few available slots for studio shoots until the 18th December as well. Contact me if you want a festive quote specially tailored for you.
