Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Morris on their Wedding Day | 20.07.19
This summer I had my first wedding in Essex for the beautiful Beth and Josh (now both Morris) on the 20th July. I had to travel all the way from Southampton to reach this fantastic venue by the name of Mulberry House in High Ongar. As soon as my taxi arrived, the incredible building and its grounds just took my breath away. Although the weather condition in the morning was far from ideal, by the end of the day nobody would have remembered that anyway.
I was met at the reception by this lovely lady and later on by the bride’s father who was so kind to talk to me about the day’s agenda and also other various topics, including Education. After having this initial introduction, I knew this was going to be a heartwarming day and being surrounded by such a large group of sweet and inviting people - made my work much easier. It wen’t pretty quickly against all my expectations.
As soon as I walked in the room where the make-up and hair was done, I started feeling the buzz and everyone dealt with me like I was one of the cousins arriving earlier. That family had a strong bond and the images had to represent this visually. Smiles were flying everywhere and people were going through this major makeovers to catch up with the time. Once this was done, we had exactly 15-20 mins to capture the final look of the bride before we had out to the ceremony in St. Luke's Church in Upminster. Bridesmaids, parents and the bride got all involved in the preparation for these shots, while I was running and trying to balance my dresscode and my gear’s as the weather was changing every few moments.
The drive arrived. The lovely chaps from Carols Classics to pick up everyone and I have to say - the vehicles were like cut offs from magazines. What is not to like?
Once we stepped into the church, well… this was a totally different experience for me. I have never experienced anything like this before - music, dance, the preach and the prayers. If you know me, religion hasn’t been much part of my life and witnessing this in first hand has definitely made mi reconsider why I believe this is a great power when it comes to positive and life-changing celebrations. It felt so personal and yet beautiful as people were laying out their words and wishes to the newly married couple. Yes, I shed a tear and too every now and then * makes a silly face *.
The afternoon went in group photos, dance offs, slices of cake, clinking glasses. I will not be adding more words but instead let the photographs do the job:
This wedding wouldn’t have been possible without the help of the bride and groom’s friends and family and the fantastic vendors and their services. Here are some the stars - Brides by Solo (Wedding dress), Jack Bunneys Upminster (Groom’s Suit), Janet Byrne (Flowers and Decoration), Claire O'Riordan & Eleanor Delport (Cake/Baker), Joshua O'Riordan (Invitations), Major Groove (Music and Entertainment), Michael Vickers (Officiant), DC London Jewelers (Rings) to name a few.
I am always looking to support families and couples with some fantastic images they can show and share. If you know someone who would benefit from my service or you are that person - click on the contact page and let’s get the ball rolling!
